DUBLIN STUDIO WORKSHOPS

Tyler Foell, 4-color gum bichromate - 2019

The workshops at Dublin Studio are very flexible and run for as many days as you want them to… covering the material and processes that are of specific interest to you. They are also designed to be compatible with your level of knowledge whether it be starting from the very beginning with creating digital negatives for contact printing to off-the-path advanced experiments where the outcome is unknown.

Recent Custom Workshops Requested:

  • Wet plate collodion with both in-camera and contact printing, (all materials and equipment provided)

  • Cyanotype murals and cross-process applications

  • Gum bichromate and cross-process applications

  • Calotype negatives and contact positives

  • Kallitype

  • Salted paper process and noble metal toning

  • Albumen and noble metal toning

  • Platinum/palladium

  • Ziatype with cross-process applications

As well, all workshops include digital contact-negative production with materials, custom curves, and immediate output. Each workshop includes portfolio assessment, development and critique, and will begin and end each day with a personalized review and conversation specific to your work, concepts and intentions.

Pricing and Scheduling

For the most part, with the exception of processes requiring precious noble metals such as gold, silver, palladium, and platinum, materials such as film, paper, custom printing and equipment will be provided. A modest lab fee may be required depending on the workshop. If there is a lab fee, it will be only to help cover pre-ordering and shipping before you arrive.

Current rates:

Summer is the ideal time for a workshop, but fall and spring scheduling is possible. Please note that three is the maximum number of participants that I will take for any given workshop.
